However, some experts believe that the unconventional approach could do more harm than good.
Weerachai Putthawong, professor of organic chemistry at Kasetsart University, told Workingpoint News that he had serious doubts about the fact that sugar water would produce better results than ordinary water .
He says that increasing the viscosity of the liquid will not make a big difference, because the equipment used to spray it is not powerful enough to spray it into droplets small enough to capture the dust and particles of a size as small as 2.5 microns. .
Current machines used to spray water can only capture particles up to 10 microns.
To make matters worse, the added sugar could cause the development of dangerous molds on the surfaces on which the mixture rests. This organic additive would allow bacteria and fungi to grow.
