A vegan husband tells his pregnant wife all his life eating meat

But a pregnant woman was stunned when her husband told her to change vegan lifestyle and start eating meat for "baby's health".

The expectant mother explained that she was a vegan all her life and that her parents and siblings also followed a plant-based diet. And, surprisingly, her husband is also vegan, although he does not adhere strictly to lifestyle.

So she could not imagine eating meat for the sake of her future child at the request of her partner.

He thought that eating meat was necessary for the health of his baby and worried about his iron level, which the mother never had a problem.

Mumsnet's followers comforted the mother-to-be, saying that eating meat could make her sick and she should not let her husband control her diet. The only exception could be if she was thirsty for meat, they added.

Some mothers who were also vegan said they chose to eat fish and / or meat during pregnancy, but it was their choice and they did not feel obliged to do so.

Can you be vegan during pregnancy?

Good sources of calcium for vegans include:
