One woman died and 28 other guests became ill after eating at a Michelin-starred restaurant in Spain.
The guest went to the RiFF in Valencia with her husband and son, aged 12, both also suffering from diarrhea and vomiting.
The restaurant is now closed and public health officials are investigating the exact cause of the outbreak.
RiFF, who has a Michelin star and who is described by the guide as serving "innovative cuisine", apologized to his customers.
The officials found 75 people who had eaten at the restaurant between February 13 and 16 and learned that a total of 29 people had been intoxicated by food, including three families.
This included a 46-year-old woman who ate with her family on Saturday night and died at home early Sunday morning.
A spokesman for the Valencia Regional Ministry of Health told BBC News that food safety officers had inspected RiFF on Monday, but found no obvious cause.
Samples of some of the dishes served as part of a tasting menu have now been sent to the National Institute of Toxicology for badysis, they added.
Some reports have suggested that morels may have been to blame, but officials told local media that they were waiting for test results before selecting a particular ingredient.
The owner and head of the RiFF, Bernd Knöller, said in a statement that he was working with health officials to establish the facts.
"Whatever the reason that may have caused this situation, I wish to express my deep regret for what has happened, hoping that all these facts can be clarified," he added.
"I made the decision that the restaurant remains closed until the causes of what happened are established."
