The incident, gathered by YEN.com.gh, occurred in a town called Sapele, Delta State, Nigeria.
According to the information collected by YEN.com.gh, the amount sought was 20,000 naira, or about 290 cedis.
The woman claimed that the little girl's father was in America and that she was looking for money to get to meet him.
Having nothing in warranty, she offered to leave the girl for that purpose and promised to come pick up the baby and pay off the money every time she would come back from her trip to the city. ;foreign.
But people around did not believe because they thought she was trying to run away with money and abandon her child.
In an incident video previewed by YEN.com.gh, the woman was seen holding the little girl by her side while she was telling her story to men.
It is not known if the woman is mentally stable or not, because the video has revealed much more than her narration.
