Ramsey will earn about £ 400,000 a week at Juventus, making him the highest paid British player of all time.

In a moving statement, Ramsey thanked the Arsenal fans and pledged to give 100% for the club until his departure at the end of the season.

But the club's legend, Wright, thinks Arsenal does not have to blame anyone for losing Ramsey after allowing him to break his contract.

He told BBC Radio 5Live: "Ramsey is just another player who has found himself in a situation where he could terminate the contract. When you consider the contract that has been awarded, they simply can not afford to keep it alongside the players to whom they "granted" We had with the contract that they are on.

"So, unfortunately, we lose it and it was beautiful."

When asked if Ramsey was appreciated at Arsenal, Wright added, "Maybe not.

"But I think what people will see now is when you see how he's playing and how professionalism like David Ornstein mentioned that he was one of those players that no matter how much Arsenal was playing badly, he had never hidden.

"Never hidden, always shown for the ball.

"He received a tremendous amount of stick but continued to try to get things done as he intended.

"It comes down to bad management. We can not get away with it, but the fact is we are losing an excellent player. "

During his 11 years at Arsenal, Ramsey made more than 350 appearances in all competitions, scoring 61 goals.

He is also the only Arsenal player in the history of the club to have scored several FA Cup winning goals.

In a 75-word statement, Arsenal said Ramsey had been an "accomplished professional" in his day at the club.

Arsenal said: "Everyone at the Arsenal Football Club wishes Aaron Ramsey a happy and successful future.

"Aaron's has made a fantastic contribution to our club since arriving in Cardiff City in 2008.

"He has always been an accomplished professional and will always occupy a special place in the hearts and minds of Arsenal fans around the world.

"We hope that Aaron will help the team finish the season well before joining Juventus this summer."
