Marian Lumor, a 17-year-old girl who was reportedly kidnapped in Ho, Volta Region on Monday, 21 January 2019, found her family.
The victim, a student at Sunrise High School in Ho Township, was reportedly missing while she was about to pay her tuition to the bank.
After incessant calls on her mobile phone without any response, the victim's distraught family went to school and then complained to the Ho police station.
Adudzi Aburu, Clbad91.3FM regional correspondent for the Volta region, reported on Thursday, January 24, 2019 that the family had subsequently received messages from his alleged captors.
On Wednesday, however, a family member saw the girl in Aflao with a friend and quickly alerted the family to Ho, who then informed the police, who in turn went to pick her up and took her back to Ho.
According to the victim, her abductors gave her a form of preparation and did not know what was going on around her until she arrived in Aflao. She then called her friend, a clbadmate who lives in the regional capital, to help her.
Police investigate the case. They took the victim to the hospital for an examination. No signs of harm or torture have been detected.
