Tadi Abductions The three girls have been missing for more than 2 months

The families of the three abducted girls in Takoradi in the western region have questioned the Ghanaian police's commitment to help find and rescue the victims.

This follows the statement of a key suspect in the case, Samuel Udoetuk-Wills, according to which a police officer helped him escape from the detention cell into custody. December 2018.

"It's almost three months, where is my sister? Whether she is alive or not, we know nothing. We're joking with this guy [key suspect]… What is happening in Ghana? Seriously, we do not understand, "said Ruth Love Quayson, sister of one of the missing girls, after Monday's court proceedings.

The families therefore issued a weeklong ultimatum to the police to find their daughters.

Samuel Udoetuk-Wills told the court on Monday, February 11, 2019 that he had obtained the help of an officer of the Criminal Investigation Department (CID) of the Ghana Police Service (CID) for escape from custody.

He however told the court that he did not know the name of the agent but could identify him.

He also revealed that another person, named only Kwesi, had provided him with oil, which facilitated the cutting of the iron bars used to barricade the windows of the police cells where he was being held.

The suspect stated that he did not know where Kwesi was. The case has been postponed to 18 February.

The missing girls are Priscilla Mantebea Koranchie, aged 18, last seen on 21 December 2018; Priscilla Blessing Bentum, age 21, last seen on August 17, 2018; and Ruth Love Quayson, age 18, last seen on December 4, 2018.
