Nana Appiah Mensah is the Chief Executive Officer of Menzgold Ghana
A supposed legal team from Ghana, led by broadcaster Abeiku Santana, traveled to Dubai, UAE, to "defend" the chief executive officer of Menzgold Ghana Limited, Nana Appiah Mensah, known as the name of NAM1.
NAM1 is currently being tried in Dubai for alleged involvement in a so-called $ 51 million scandal.
He was arrested in Dubai on December 7, 2018 as a result of a lawsuit filed against him by an Emirati company called Horizon Royal Diamonds.
Many customers in Ghana have blocked their investments with Menzgold.
The company's setbacks began after the Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) ordered Menzgold on September 7, 2018 to stop its unlicensed deposit taking transactions with the public.
In an article posted on Facebook about the trip to Dubai, Mr. Santana, who would be a close ally of NAM1, wrote: "The Ghana legal team, led by prosecutor Abeiku Santana, has arrived at #Dubai to defend # Nam1 @ Dubai, United Arab Emirates. "
Mr. Santana confirmed his visit to Dubai in a telephone interview with DAILY GUIDE.
His post was accompanied by photos of some men suspected of being part of the legal team in Islamic white suit with the flag of Ghana.
NAM1 has been supported by several celebrities such as Jackie Appiah and Jocelyn Dumas.
