Abu Jinapor denies insulting former agriculture minister

Mr. Jinapor said; “Mr. President, with all humility and modesty, anyone who deals with me, even casually, will attest that I am a gentleman. I don’t even get into arguments, let alone brawl … Hon. Alhaji Muniru Limuna is my uncle, he is my direct uncle and in northern customs, it will be completely scandalous, it will be a sacrilege for myself to answer him. I met him two weeks ago at a funeral and we had a very cordial engagement. I have absolutely nothing against Alhaji Muniru Limuna, he’s my uncle and we get along very well ”.

In December 2019, Mr. Samuel Abu Jinapor reportedly lost his temper and openly insulted the former Minister of Agriculture, Alhaji Mohammed Muniru-Limuna during the Damba festival in Buipe in the central district of Gonja in the region of Savannah.

Abu Jinapor according to MyNewsGh.com said; “Bullshit, idiot” among other unprintable adjectives about the former minister who is his uncle.

News portals said they understood former President John Dramani Mahama graced the event and when he stood to speak from the podium, other dignitaries stood up in respect, but the New Patriotic Party (NPP) parliamentary candidate for Damongo remained seated, an act observed by the former minister was a sign of disrespect.

“I approached him quietly and asked him to stand up even though the man was not his candidate but by virtue of being a former president but in response he told me Bullshit”; Alhaji Limuna confirmed to MyNewsGh.com.

He revealed that he walked away and returned later to confront him who he was referring to, but that opened the floodgates to another round of insults.

“He told me to my face that I was a foolish man and that he would say it 20 times if he was given another opportunity. Abu then rushed at me as if he was going to hit me but was held back by Joyce Bawah Mogtari, ”Alhaji Muniru reportedly said.
