AC Milan is nearing the signing of Krzysztof Piatek to replace Gonzalo Higuain, according to reported information.
SportMediaset indicates that the Polish international will be in Milan Monday night to undergo a medical visit before signing a contract of an estimated 35 million euros.
The transfer of Piatek stems from Chelsea's interest in Higuain, who would have asked to leave the San Siro side in order to meet with Sarri.
The defender of Genoa, Domenico Criscito, has maintained with Sky Sport after the Grifone's 2-0 defeat against the Rossoneri, apparently confirming the departure of his team-mate.
"Piatek? It's difficult for us because he scored half of the total number of goals scored this season, "he said.
"He is an excellent player and we will miss him. I hope that the club will manage to retain him, players like him are important, let's see what happens. "
Genoa manager Cesare Prandelli also revealed after the match that the club had been somewhat forced to re-evaluate its position on Piatek.
"When I arrived, it was not planned to sell it, but the club then weighed the weight of its task.
"He was at the stadium today, but I have to think about training the guys at my disposal, trying to convey to them the right mindset for this club."
