Fikayo Tomori hasn’t had a chance at Chelsea this season. Frank Lampard would be the first to tell you.
He decided to try to make his way into the squad but couldn’t handle it, and now a loan for the rest of the season sounds like the right plan for both sides.
Some Premier League names had been thrown in the hat, but now Fabrizio Romano has suggested something spicier – AC Milan.
New chance for Fikayo Tomori: AC Milan have contacted Chelsea for the English central defender. Tomori would accept the destination. 🔵 #cfc
… But Milan’s main target remains Mohamed Simakan [Strasbourg]. Only if the deal breaks down, Tomori would be the option. 🔴 #AC Milan

The Italian club have reportedly “contacted Chelsea” about the defender.
It is not clear whether this would be a permanent agreement or a loan. Knowing the trends of Serie A teams, it could well be a loan with a buy clause.
We would like to retain the right to repurchase Fikayo. We still think he can become a really high center-back, and a job in Italy could do him some good. The risk would also be sitting on the bench.
