AC Milan, a Serie A giant, reportedly denied Kevin-Prince Boateng a third pbad to the club before moving to Barcelona.
Boateng made a transfer to Barcelona of 2 million euros last month, coming from Serie A, Sbaduolo.
The contract includes an option of 8 million euros allowing Catalan giants to buy the Ghanaian international if it impresses.
Milan was closely tied to the movements of Zlatan Ibrahimovic, Fabio Quagliarella and Yannick Carrasco, but Gennaro Gattuso's team was unable to land any of his goals before signing Polish striker Krzysztof Pi? Tek.
According to Calciomercato.com, the 31-year-old athlete was proposed to AC Milan last December, with the Rossoneri seeking an offensive option.
However, reports indicate that the Milan management has never seized the opportunity to make an offer before the player has finally moved to Catalonia.
Boateng joined Milan in 2010, playing a key role in his Scudetto triumph this season.
He left after three years but returned later in 2016.
