Barcelona's determination to sign Marcus Rashford this summer will allow them to offer Manchester United their three-star choice, according to reports in Spain.
Rashford would have become a prime target for the giants of La Liga as they are looking for a long-term replacement for Luis Suarez, with his contract at United which is currently due to expire in the summer of 2020.
The English striker was considered "disillusioned" by United's life under Jose Mourinho, but he flourished under Ole Gunnar Solskjaer – definitely confirmed on Thursday morning – with eight goals in 18 appearances.
Although this is suggested Rashford has "no desire to leave United" and discussions on an extension of his contract should soon come to a positive conclusion. Barcelona would continue to woo Rashford, according to reports in Spain, and would have contacted the club to suggest he choose up to three players under any potential deal.
according to Mundo DeportivoBarcelona told United that he could choose Philippe Coutinho, valued at 100 million euros, Malcom, for whom he claims to claim 50 million euros, and Samuel Umtiti – on the market at a starting price of € 70 million.
United would have had talks with Coutinho's entourage over the last few months and although it is not known yet whether their interest in the former Liverpool man is real or not, the club will not encourage bids for Rashford – a player Solskjaer sees as a key man for the future.
Umtiti could try United, given their regular links with the new center-center. If a new widower is on the agenda – it's Jadon Sancho, and not Malcom, should aim for Solskjaer.
