Head of Public Affairs at the Accra Metropolitan Assembly [AMA]Gilbert Nii Ankrah said the recent floods in the city were caused by the simple negligence of the citizens.
According to him, the "major" cause of the floods in Accra is due to dirt – something he has accused the citizens.
"It's really sad, it's a major problem that we [AMA] they are worried, "he said in an interview with Ghana's morning TV show from the NEAT FM group.
Perpetual floods in parts of the city have been a major problem for any government.
Recent rains have seen the city flooded and wiping out many homeless people.
