The Reds will face the Palace at Anfield on Saturday afternoon, while Jurgen Klopp's players are looking to extend their lead at the top of the table.
They currently hold four points ahead of their Manchester City rivals as they look to continue their high season.
Salah is currently the league's top scorer, scoring 14 times this season.
When the two teams met earlier this season, the match ended 2-0 against Liverpool Park at Selhurst Park, thanks to goals from James Milner and Sadio Mane.
And the back of the palace, Van Aanholt, said he would do everything possible to stop Salah.
"Yes, I still want to play against the best and Salah is one of the best in the league," he told Sky Sports.
"It's my time to close it and make sure it does not score and play well.
"If we can beat Liverpool as we fight City, I will be very happy.
"In addition to the first three, they have [Xherdan] Shaqiri and [Daniel] Sturridge, so it will be difficult, but we are able to do it.
The Dutchman also recalled that the Eagles had already defeated City, his rival in title, 3-2 in December.
"We know that they will attack us, they will press us, so we have to focus on our own game and see what happens," he added.
"We did it against Manchester City so why can not we do it again?"

Offering Liverpool and City a win this weekend, the Reds will receive an 11-day break before playing their next championship game.
The city will play against Huddersfield on Sunday but will return to the FA Cup next weekend, but Liverpool's defeat by the Wolves in the third round allowed them to rest.
