The Achimota School was crowned champion of the first Greater Accra Regional Championship of the National Game of Science and Mathematics after an astonishing performance on Thursday.
The competition was presumed fierce, but as progress progressed, Achimota made it look like a breeze.
Achimota's two competitors showed an excellent display of speed and accuracy, which ultimately allowed them to win a record 73 points for the Greater Accra region.
The students at Achimota School who were numerous in the quiz room to support could not stay calm.
They sent deafening and endless acclaim in the hall, claiming their victory.
St. Thomas Aquinas High School, otherwise known as Old Toms, was supposed to parade for the start of Achimota, but they were caught off guard.
They finished the contest with 37 points.
Presc Legon, the giants of the Senior Chemu High, has qualified for the final, but it seems that they have used all their firepower, having scored only 33 points.
Students from Achimota School continued to cheer on their candidate, filling the room with echoes from their anthem.
