Actor Jason Momoa today participated in the protocol at noon for anti-telescope protesters thirty meters away.

MAUNA KEA >> Actor Jason Momoa today added to the protocol at noon the 30-meter anti-telescope protesters, who took power, by taking the blocked Mauna Kea access road in front of a crowd of about 600 people.

Momoa, a staunch supporter of the protests that helped popularize the anti-TMT movement in 2015, wore a leki haku, mail pieces and sunglbades while he stood in a pouring rain watching the hula and listening to the crowd praying in Hawaii.

When his turn came to make a presentation at 12:40, he stepped forward to present a formal offering wrapped in a leaf.

"I just want to say that I'm grateful to the protectors and guardians of this country, and we're not going anywhere," he said.
