Actress and founder of Mama Mariam’s Mother and Children Care Foundation, Habiba Sinare donated a Polytank to Tamale University Hospital to connect their neonatal intensive care unit.
According to the department’s leadership, the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) has been without water over the years, adding that this has been a major problem affecting newborns and their mothers.
With the help of the Mama Mariam Foundation, there is a stable and portable water supply in the NICU department.
Speaking after the donation, Miss Sinare said she was happy to contribute to the department’s efforts to save newborn lives and also happy to make work efficient for the staff.
“I must say that I feel extremely happy to do this for my little angels.”
She further explained that: “Water is life and this initiative is part of my foundation. This will give the department a full water supply at all times; the reduction of infections in the NICU service and of course the fluidity and efficiency of the activities of the medical staff ”.
She congratulated the staff in the NICU department at Tamale Teaching Hospital for their incredible work.

She expressed her thanksgiving to God and to the hospital staff for the privileged granted to her to be able to provide for the less privileged in society.
