Adam Collard and Zara McDermott parted in Love Island's last heartbreak.
The pair is separated only six months after the end of the ITVBe series.
Their break comes just days after Adam's picture cuddling a mysterious brunette in his native Newcastle while the couple was pausing.
Adam was found in a boiling water bath with his girlfriend last weekend – with information that Zara was angry when she discovered that the Instagram model, Brittany Archer, had been at the party with Jack of Fincham with Adam.
One source said: "Zara was not happy after discovering that Adam had gone out with the band including Brittany.
"They ended up having a big fight and close friends confirmed that they were breaking down."
After their arguments, Adam escaped to Newcastle where he was seen with the mysterious woman.
It seems the two men are constantly arguing and no longer embarking on a romantic trip to the Maldives scheduled later this week.
A source told the Sun: "Adam and Zara spent last week arguing furiously.
"There is still so much love between them but they decided for the moment that it was better to part ways."
"They had to spend a romantic holiday in the Maldives together this week, but they will not leave.
"They have done their best to solve their problems, but at this point they can not go back, they have since disunited on Instagram."
The shocking news comes a few hours before Zara appears in a special Panorama show tonight.
She will be on the camera for the Million Pound Selfie Sell Off tonight at 8:30 pm on BBC1.
She has not yet officially broken her silence on the split, although she did release an encrypted quote to Instagram in the early hours of this morning.
"If you miss someone, tell them, if you love someone, remind them, never feel embarrbaded to ever express how you feel," read the message attributed to Amber Davies, winner of the 2017 Love Island Award.
"You have rights. You have feelings. If someone does not respect them or appreciate them, it is their choice. But please, do what you want to do in life Do not be influenced by social media or anything else Go with your instinct And go with all your heart.
Zara labeled Amber in the message, saying, "I love it."
Adam and Zara join the long list of other failed couples of Love Island 2018.
Josh Denzel and Kaz Crossley were the other newer, joining Wes Nelson and Megan Barton Hanson during this year's split.
The recent wave of ruptures has led some fans to speculate on a theory of the Love Island plot, namely that each couple who reaches the final must sign a contract to stay together at least six months after the show.
But a spokeswoman for ITV has refuted the fan theory by saying to Mirror Online: "It's absolutely wrong."
