Adekunle Gold was the guest in the first episode of British-Nigerian journalist Tobi Rachel AkingbadeS Yellow Cup podcast and he spoke about his reflections on Beyonce's latest album "The Lion King: The Gift" where the pop icon featured several Nigerian and African stars; his weirdest experience with a fan; his super-private marriage with Simi; and upcoming album.
On his marriage with simi
Tobi Rachel read a question from fans asking Adekunle to marry them and she joked: "I think that they missed something."
Adekunle responded with "What did they miss?" And "Who wants to get married? Let's do it. "

Adekunle Gold went to answer the question by saying:
Honestly, I feel you should only give people … you should only tell them what you want them to know.

On the forthcoming album
Adekunle Gold announced that his new album was coming out "very soon" and that it was "very different".
"I'm going to say AG2019, it was an interesting year for me. I released singles very different from what I had done before. Shout to everyone who listened Before you wake up and Kelegbe Megbe. I'll be releasing a new single soon, then an album this year, "he said.
"And it's very interesting. So, for my existing friends, I say "hold on" and for new people, I say "welcome," he continued.
He said that the album would be different because he wants to "have fun this year".
He added, "So you can tell before you wake up that it's different and that Kelegbe Megbe looks more like an afro trap. So, I am amused and I am in a very big space where I will be able to muscle myself. So I had fun and this is the subject of this album. Because whatever AG does, he does not do anything wrong »

Weird fan experience
Adekunle Gold recounted how a fan of his DM arrived at his hotel in Dubai after sharing a video on Insta Story showing signs that she had used to locate the hotel.
