The family of a 47-year-old man accused police officers from the Adentan police station of beating their parent until death.

Kwasi Kutin said that he went to see his nephew in a state of unconsciousness at the police hospital a few hours after being informed of the incident.

"Saturday at 10 am, I learned that my nephew had been taken to the police hospital. Because I did not consider it to be important, I did not go to the hospital until around 2 pm. So when I arrived, he was taken to the medical ward. He was unconscious, he could not see or speak.

"My unofficial communication with the police revealed that there had been a roundup in Adenta, where two other men as well as my nephew were arrested. These two people were sent to the police station, but my nephew was taken to the hospital because of his condition.

According to him, he was surprised to find his nephew in the hospital; described as a suspect.

"When I sought advice from the hospital authorities, it was said that he had been brought into the state institution. He had "suspect" written as his name on his record, so I think he was taken there by the police.

Medical examination and death

After a series of medical examinations, the family discovered that Graham may have been hit in the head because he was bleeding, adding that he "could not speak, his brain and other organs had not worked well.

Despite the family's efforts to obtain appropriate treatment for their loved ones, not all attempts at resuscitation of Graham yielded any positive results.

The family also accuses the police of negligence for failing to follow the deceased.

"Unfortunately, after receiving all the necessary medications from the doctor's prescription, he died last Wednesday. Although he was declared a suspect, there was not a single day when the police examined him, revealed Graham's uncle.
