Adrien Rabiot "has an agreement" with Real Madrid as the summer saga takes its turn

Real Madrid is about to bring Adrien Rabiot to Bernabeu this summer in free transfer. Several clubs will follow the French midfielder.

The Catalan daily Sport reports that their sources close to Paris Saint-Germain think that the 23-year-old has an initial agreement with the holders of the Champions League, his contract at Parc des Princes ending at the end of the season.

This is the second consecutive summer that the Madrid club has taken close interest in six times the French international, having considered it to replace the gap in their team created when Mateo Kovacic was lent to Chelsea in the summer of 2018.

The antics of the Frenchman off the pitch, with high salary demands and many defeats with the PSG hierarchy, have allowed the Spanish forward to move away from his interest in recent weeks (the imminent addition of Frenkie Jong also contributed to this).

Rabiot was suspended by his club for fifteen days until last Wednesday after enjoying an Instagram post from former international international Patrice Evra celebrating Manchester United's spectacular win in the Champions League in Paris earlier this month -this.

Sport's report follows statements by the Spanish press OK Diario last week that Real had joined the race for the former goal of Barcelona. Los Blancos considered the young midfielder a long-term replacement for the aging Luka Modric.

Manchester United have also been badociated with a move for Rabiot in recent weeks, joining Chelsea, Arsenal and Tottenham are on the list of English clubs contending for Real for his signature.

Rabiot will arrive in his new rusty club, whatever it is – having not started a match for the champions of France in title since the beginning of December. He left the substitute bench for seven minutes against Red Star Belgrade the following week, but is no longer part of the club's first team since the beginning of the year.
