Liverpool fans thought they had seen Adrien Rabiot in the stands during their clash with Tottenham.
The Reds took a 2-1 win over the Spurs, allowing them to return to the top of the Premier League and put pressure on Man City.
Lucas Moura leveled the scores after Roberto Firmino's first match, before Toby Alderweireld found himself in his own goal in the final stages.
During the game at Anfield, the Reds fans thought they spotted Rabiot after the television cameras caught him the attention of a supporter in a PSG hat.
The Frenchman has been linked to Liverpool among other clubs in recent weeks after being banned by PSG.
Rabiot is out of contract this summer and has refused to sign a new contract in Paris.
Barcelona, Real Madrid and Arsenal have all been badociated with Rabiot's move on the expiry of his current contract.
But Liverpool fans excited about the idea that Rabiot is going to Anfield should probably take a closer look.
Many suggested that the footage suggested that the midfielder would join Liverpool in the summer.
The supporter in question is of course NOT the French midfielder but the supporter of Liverpool, Connor Deane.
He used social media to calm the enthusiasm of his teammates.
Deane tweeted: "I can confirm that Adrien Rabiot was not a game. Today, I'm sorry to spoil the F ****** party."
It seems that Rabiot is about to go to Barcelona for an agreement prior to the signing of the contract but PSG has criticized the behavior of the Spanish champions and is reluctant to do business.
This opened the door to Real Madrid, with Zinedine Zidane, known for being a great admirer of his compatriot.
According to reports in Spain this week, an agreement could even be in place for Rabiot, who has not thrown the ball angry for PSG since before Christmas.
