The AFF Suzuki Cup champions have lost the match, but have since been on a winning streak and are now in the last eight games of the continental division.

For Thailand, Adisorn Promrak has also been warned of having detained an opponent and will also have to pay a fine of USD 5,000. The incident took place during Thailand's group stage against Bahrain, which they won 1-0.
