The national team pariah reacted to the Black Stars' failure to the continental centerpiece
Ghanaian footballer Kevin-Prince Boateng took a shot at the Black Stars after their exit from the Africa Cup of Nations (Afcon) in Egypt on Monday.
West Africans' hopes of ending a 37-year-old trophy drought ended after a 5-4 defeat in penalties against Tunisia in the round of 16, the match being finished on the score of 1-1 after extra time.
Boateng did not return to the Black Stars team after his behavior was questioned at the 2014 FIFA World Cup in Brazil. The German-born player, who had been loaned to Barcelona for the second half of last season, was snubbed for Afcon after signaling his interest in returning to the national team.

Kofi Amoah, chairman of the standardization committee of the Ghana Football Federation, revealed that Boateng, along with Sulley Muntari, also suspended during the controversial World Cup football campaign, had expressed interest in the competition.
Boateng won 15 caps and scored two goals during his two stints with the four-time champion of Africa.
