Ernest Asante, Alhbadan Wakaso, Amos Frimpong and Kwame Bonsu were not able to make their debut as the Black Stars beat Kenya 1-0 in the final match of the 2019 Africa Cup of Nations. to reserve their place at the tournament.

The quintet was one of six players who were called for the first time by coach Kwesi Appiah before the decisive match against the Harambee Stars at the Accra Stadium on Saturday night.
