REGSEC and the police have since enforced the closure. However Afenyo-Markin visited Facebook late Thursday night to announce the reopening of the university without resorting to REGSEC.

But REGSEG President Kwamena Duncan denied MPs' request, saying "it's not true".

He insisted that the university would remain closed until all the deadlocked issues were resolved by the authorities and stakeholders.

"I did not send anyone to announce that the school should be reopened," Duncan told our correspondent on Friday morning.

The President of REGSEC indicated that only he himself is mandated to speak on behalf of REGSEC, adding that he had not held any discussion nor given anyone the authority to do so. .
