The editor of the New Crusading Guide newspaper is immersed in the recent controversy over the case involving Gregory Afoko, brother of former NPP chairman Paul Afoko.

Gregory Afoko has been on trial since 2015 as a suspect in the badbadination of Adams Mahama, president of the Upper East region, chairman of the ruling New Patriotic party.

A high court chaired by Judge George Baudi granted Gregory Afoko a bail of 500,000 ¢ in March 2019, following the request of his lawyers.

However, the bail decision was overturned by a High Court of Accra presided over by Judge Merley Afua Wood.

Prior to that, after the court had granted Gregory Afoko bail, he was still in police custody until he was rescinded.

Some civil society groups feel that if the suspect fulfills all the conditions of bail, without the bail being released, then there would be a mockery of justice and abuse of rights.

OccupyGhana, in a statement, asks to be punished for officers who have flouted Afoko's bail decision.

Part of the statement read as follows: "We would usually be reluctant to comment on a case pending in court. But we must be concerned about any appearance of flagrant and flagrant violation of the constitutional rights of a citizen. "

Kweku Baako said that, according to his verifications, bail conditions were not fully met when the issue was under discussion at the Wednesday issuance of the broadcast Peace FM Kokrokoo morning show.

"In relation to the realization of the bail condition, there is a void and if you have not fulfilled the conditions of bail, then what are you talking about?" he? ", he asked.
