Banyana Banyana secured her ticket to the FIFA Women's World Cup 2019 after defeating Mali in the Africa Cup of Nations semi-finals on Tuesday night.
After a good start to the match, Jermaine Seoposenwe had the opportunity to give the attackers Desiree Ellis the lead in the 15th minute, but her distance shot was saved by Malian goalkeeper Adoudou Konaté.
South Africans had the advantage after 20 minutes but had to increase their intensity in the last third.
Thembi Kgatlana lobbied as she opened the stalemate on Banyana in the 31st minute with a low shot in the bottom corner, scoring her fifth goal of the tournament.
Refiloe Jane was about to score 2-0 for Banyana, moments later, after finding space to score a rebound, but she could not find the target.

However, the Banyana regained control of the match towards the hour of play although they could not create any opportunity.
Lebogang Ramalepe finally doubled Banyana 's lead ten minutes before the hour with a looping shot coming from outside the box, 2-0.
South Africa has managed to easily qualify for the final, where they will face Nigeria.
After qualifying for the final, Banyana has now qualified for the FIFA Women's World Cup for the first time in her history.
