The American political activist, Ilhan Abdullahi Omar, has become an inconic figure in Africa as a result of her life and work.

She is officially the first American of Somali descent, the first naturalized citizen of Africa, the first non-white woman elected from Minnesota and one of the first two Muslim women, along with Rashida Tlaib of Michigan, to to sit in Congress.

Since taking office, Omar has advocated for cheap housing, global health care and the cancellation of student loans.
This has led to many conspiracy theories, death threats and harbadment from politicians who disagree with his methods.
However, she enjoys tremendous support from Africans, as many have praised her for her efforts, particularly with regard to defamed people.
In new photos that have become viral, she was seen with Nancy Pelosi in Ghana and they were beautiful in their clothes while Pelosi added a beautiful Kente pattern to her outfit.
In another report, Victoria Duah Honu, a 61-year-old retiree, retired to Ghana after more than 30 years in South Africa, where she then put plans in place for her business.
Preparations for starting her business began in March 2017 and she was ready for the next phase of her life eight months later.
Honu revealed that her work as a nurse for eight years became a challenge when she started a family.
The main reason, she explained, is that work-life balance has been too difficult to manage.
