African universities determined to reach CESA (2016-2025) in Cairo

The Rectors' Conference of Vice Chancellors and Presidents of African Universities is the flagship event of the Association of African Universities, which is held every two years to discuss new trends and share knowledge in the teaching space. in Africa and Africans in the diaspora. This year, the conference was held from 8 to 11th July 2019 in Cairo Egypt on the theme The role of higher education institutions in promoting the Continental Education Strategy for Africa (CESA). In solidarity with the AAU, other partner organizations such as the European Union, DAAD, Carnegie, AU, Association of European Universities, Swedish International Development Cooperation Agency, Education of the European Union. Sub-Saharan Africa, League of Islamic Universities, Arab Academy of Science, Technology and Maritime Transport, Joint Admissions and Matriculations Boar of Nigeria, and the African Union have honored the event with messages of solidarity.

The CESA (2016-2025), mandated by the AU to implement the Continental Strategy for Education in Africa (CESA), decided, through its coordinating body (AUA), to put in place key mechanisms to ensure the strategic focus of the African Union as it is described in the document achieved.

Researchers from various fields of research, in accordance with the above mandate, presented the research perspectives to various thematic areas of the conference with suggestions for the realization of CESA (2016-2025). A number of presentations and authors have been captured in this report.
