Priority of President Akufo-Addo According to a special assistant to former President John Dramani Mahama, Godwin Edudzi Tamakloe has never been a health infrastructure.

According to him, since President Akufo-Addo took over from former President Mahama, the public debt which was just over 122 billion GHc has increased in June according to figures from the Bank of Ghana to 322 billion GHc. GHc.

Speaking on Okay FM’s ‘Ade Akye Abia’ morning show, Edudzi Tamakloe hinted that the president’s priority has been to “borrow and chop”; thus, everything the ruling NPP government knows is about consumption, not infrastructure projects.

“You have borrowed from several and if health infrastructure is your priority, what do you do? Health has never been a priority for the Akufo-Addo government. The priority of the Akufo-Addo government is consumption. They borrow for food and not for infrastructure projects, ”he said.

“Even the start-up money for the Agenda 111 project was taken from the Ghana Investment Infrastructure Fund (GIIF) set up by former President John Dramani Mahama in 2014. . . “he noted.

He explained that the Ghana Infrastructure Fund is helping the Akufo-Addo government to carry out its “Agenda 111” hospital project.

He added that President Akufo-Addo used to break his promise to build hospitals because he cut the ground for several hospital projects, but none of them got started.

“I have always maintained that health is wealth and so if someone decides to invest in health, that’s fine, what has been the record of the president we are dealing with? The president cut the ground for hospital projects and we haven’t seen anything about them, ”he said.
