Vice President of the East and Volta Regional Branch of the Ghana Industries Association (AGI), Ms. Lucy Tenkorang, urged the government to contact the private sector to to create a special fund to support women entrepreneurs incentives.
According to her, this would encourage women entrepreneurs to do better in their businesses and encourage more women to meet the challenges of entrepreneurship.
The Vice President spoke at a forum organized for women entrepreneurs in the Volta region. It was organized by the eastern regional branch and volta of the AGI in the municipality of Ho.

The seminar was themed Move Ghana beyond help; the role of women entrepreneurs & # 39 ;.
The goal is to bring women together to empower them through skills development and to improve their entrepreneurship skills.
Ms. Tenkorang said that the AGI was convinced that women, when empowered to badume industrial roles, could develop communities, homes and the nation as a whole.
"In order to support this initiative, the AGI, as an badociation, is there to mobilize and help our women to exploit the areas where opportunities exist," she said, adding that her team was determined to make sure that the initiative for women is not going to be a nine-day wonder.
Mama Atrato II, traditional president of the Queen Mother of Ho Dome, encouraged women to come together and support each other to develop their activities.

She said that it was always refreshing to see women encourage and support each other.
Ms. Lena Alai, Regional Director of Gender Department of Volta, said that it was necessary to create more opportunities for women entrepreneurs to network with their colleagues from other African countries to enable them to learn more.
The managing director of African Hill Resort in Ho, Mrs. Joycelyn Akorfa Ochlich, said she was concerned about the request for guarantee before granting loans by financial institutions because most women did not have no real estate that could be used as such.
She therefore appealed to financial institutions to give priority to loans to women entrepreneurs of low interest to help them create and expand their businesses.
As part of the seminar, representatives from the World Bank for Women gave women a discussion on how to obtain a loan and manage their business effectively.
Participants took the opportunity to pay tribute to Mrs Esther Ocloo, founder of AGI, also a native of the Volta region, who would have celebrated her 100th birthday this year.
Mama Atrato II, queen mother of Ho Dome, and Beatrice Akosua Awudey, founder of Sokodé Biscuits Factory, aged 90, were honored for their immense contribution to advancing the cause of women. entrepreneurs and empowerment in the Volta region and in Ghana in general.
