Emmanuel Agyemang-Badu
Ghanaian midfielder Emmanuel Agyemang-Badu played his first competitive match in 326 days. He made a brief appearance for Udinese in their 2-0 win against Genoa in Italian Serie A on Saturday.
Les Zebrettes won the match thanks to goals from Stefano Okaka and Rolando Mandragora.
Zebrette's supporters were ecstatic when coach Igor Tudor introduced Agyemang-Badu to replace Seko Fofana, with five minutes left to play.
Badu has been absent since his successful surgery last July after being injured during the Udinese pre-season training.
The 28-year-old midfielder was initially qualified to be able to start the season, but his recovery was delayed, leaving him out for the last ten months.
He attended a competition for the last time on Sunday, May 6, 2018, when Bursaspor defeated Fenerbahce 2-1 in the Turkish Supalig.
Coach Tudor will rely on his experience in the latter part of the season to maintain his league status.
Udinese is 15th with 28 points after 28 matches.
