AIOU develops a website to facilitate students at the regional level

ISLAMABAD, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News – July 22, 2018): The Open University Allama Iqbal (AIOU) decided to develop a website to allow its students at the regional level to have information relevant.

The proposed website will have a separate portal from each regional office for the benefit of the area concerned, said Vice Chancellor AIOU Prof Dr Shahid Siddiqui.

Addressing the videoconference held by regional leaders under his chairmanship, he said that the official launch of the website will take place next month.

It was also decided to intensify the meeting of academic academic roles, the country's educational needs, developing a strong network of regional infrastructure and launching new educational programs.

In recent years, the focus has been on promoting quality education and the development of AIOU as a teaching institution based on research.

The research work was linked to the socio-economic development of the country, said the vice-chancellor at a conference.

The conference was attended by the directors of 44 regional offices, regional directors, deans, senior academics and administrative officers who made various suggestions to strengthen the registration campaign with the start of new admissions (fall of 2018) from August 1st.

The Vice Chancellor noted an upward trend in student enrollment in recent years, due to the qualitative improvement in the operation of the university at various levels.

The image of the University was reconstituted by carrying out comprehensive development work, particularly in the areas of research, professional development and curriculum review.

In addition, new academic development programs were launched and the student support system was strengthened.

The development of human resources, the intelligent use of new technologies, the enrichment of laboratories and university libraries, the establishment of new departments were other priority areas, at- he adds.

To meet its social responsibility, facilities for marginalized sections, including the disabled, prisoners, abandoning girls and the transgendered group.
