It may be for this reason that pbadengers must check their luggage: the luggage compartments are filled with flight attendants.
A recent Southwest Airlines flight between Nashville and Philadelphia began on a strange note when a pbadenger spotted a flight attendant in the upper luggage compartment of the aircraft.
According to a short video taken by pbadenger Veronica Lloyd, who was returning to her home in Pennsylvania, the babysitter can be seen resting on her side and stomach, her feet hanging out of the compartment. As pbadengers board, the airline employee turns on her stomach and seems to start talking, even if the video is cut off.
Lloyd told Fox News she was "puzzled" at the woman's actions and said she was in the trash for overhead "for a good ten minutes".
"It was very interesting," Lloyd said. "I think she was doing it to try to be funny and make the pbadengers laugh."
Lloyd said that when the woman got off the trash, she was very kind to the rest of the flight.
Southwest said in a statement to Fox News that its employees are known for their sense of humor.
"Southwest employees are known to have demonstrated their sense of humor and unique personalities. In this case, one of our flight attendants tried to spend a brief moment of pleasure with the customers when boarding.
"Of course, this is not our usual procedure and southwestern crews always prioritize safety."
