Air New Zealand offers great flexibility for flights to and from Wellington, while high winds can disrupt Wednesday afternoon schedules.

MetService issued a strong wind warning for Wellington and the Marlborough Sounds, with wind gust forecasts ranging from 120 km / h in the south until Thursday morning.
While the flights were unaffected at noon, Air New Zealand expected the weather to deteriorate and cause delays and cancellations throughout the day.

The airline has also recommended that customers subscribe to its Travel Alert service to receive all current flight updates.
"Customers who are no longer obliged to travel automatically have the option to transfer their reservation to another date or retain the value of the fare in credit up to 12 months for a future trip without it being necessary to notify our contact center today, "reads the statement.
The airline's contact center performing a high number of calls, it was reminded to the customers that they could change their reservations online.
Jetstar spokesperson, Phil Boeyen, advised customers to check the status of their flight on the airline's website, on the Jetstar app or on the Wellington Airport website .
"At this point, all our flights to Wellington have been done as planned, but I understand that strong winds are expected later in the day."
Wellington airport spokesman, Greg Thomas, said that until now, the disruption had been minimal and the airport remained open.
Due to adverse weather conditions on the North Island, Air New Zealand also recommends that all customers travel to or from a port on the North Island on Wednesday to check the Arrivals and Departures page on their website.
