STOCKHOLM (SAS) – SAS has announced the cancellation of hundreds of scheduled flights on Sunday as the strike of the Scandinavian airline's pilots entered its second day on Saturday.

"We deeply regret that our customers are affected by the current pilot strike which has resulted in delays and canceled flights," SAS said in a statement.

"Due to the strike, about 64,000 pbadengers will be affected by 587 canceled flights across Scandinavia".

SAS pilots went on strike on Friday as wage negotiations collapsed, blocking about 70 percent of the airline's flights and affecting travel plans for some 170,000 pbadengers over the weekend alone.
