Ajith appears to have developed a strong appetite for target pistol shooting. He was recently filmed honing his shooting skills on a shooting range. If you didn’t know, Ajith is a member of the Chennai Shooting Club. And he’s already proven his marksmanship by winning first prizes in a competition held earlier this year.
Ajith and members of his team have won multiple gold medals in various divisions of the 46th Tamil Nadu State Shooting Championship.
When Ajith is not busy with his film shoots, he is often photographed doing cross-country motorcycle rides, long-distance biking, in addition to his sessions at the Chennai Shooting Club. His other extracurricular activities outside of his fame also include his former interest in mechanical engineering. He was hired by the Madras Institute of Technology for a salary of Rs 1,000 per visit to mentor students responsible for the design and development of unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs). In 2018, he mentored the MIT “Daksha” team to help build an advanced drone for the Medical Express – 2018 UAV Challenge.
On the job front, Ajith is currently busy with director H Vinoth’s Valimai, funded by Bollywood producer Boney Kapoor. This is Ajith’s second consecutive collaboration with Vinoth and Boney Kapoor after Nerkonda Paarvai in 2019.
The filming of Valimai is in its final stage. The filmmakers should fly to a European site in the coming days to complete an action set. This is a seven-day filming schedule, and after completing it, the directors are expected to announce the film’s release date.
