Akufo-Addo Appoints Kobina Annim as New Government Statistician

President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo, on the recommendation of the Public Service Commission, appointed Professor Samuel Kobina Annim, Associate Professor, to the position of Government Statistician.

Professor Annim began his work on March 1, 2019, said Tuesday, April 9 the statement signed by Kwadwo Asante-Mensah, director of the administration of the Statistical Service of Ghana (GSS).

"The Directorate of the Statistical Service of Ghana presents its compliments and wishes to inform you of the appointment of a deputy government statistician.

"The President, on the recommendation of the Public Service Commission, has appointed Professor Samuel Kobina Annim as Government Statistician. Professor Annim took office on March 1, 2019 and is an badociate professor of economics. He joined the service of the University of Cape Coast where he worked for over 18 years.

"We urge you to give him the courtesy necessary in the performance of his duties as a government statistician," the statement said.
