Earlier this year, the regional minister of the West-North launched the “1 school, 1 child, 1 study office” initiative, with the collaborative efforts of all the general managers of municipalities and districts (MDCE ) of the region.
The initiative, which aims to eliminate the deficit of nearly seventy thousand (70,000) desks in the region, has already started, with some schools receiving their desks.
The initiative brought together personalities such as the Ghana National Petroleum Corporation (GNPC), the Coastal Development Authority (CODA), various heads of the region, certain members of Parliament, all municipal and district assemblies, philanthropists and other well-meaning people. , which continue to provide resources for the achievement of the initiative’s objectives.
The regional minister, Hon. Richard E. Obeng, through the North West Regional Coordinating Council, therefore set up a special office to encourage and receive support from volunteers and partners who share the vision of eliminating office deficits in the region.
