President Nana Addo Akufo-Addo Dankwa inspected the site of Rhovanni Royal Company Limited, one of the enterprises of the government program "One District One Factory" (1D1F), located in Tanoso, in the Ahafo region.

President Akufo-Addo visited the project site on Saturday, April 13, 2019, the second day of his two-day trip to the Ahafo region.

The government is facilitating the establishment of 181 enterprise projects in 110 district, municipal and metropolitan bademblies in 16 regions of the country. Of these, 79 projects in these projects are at various stages of operation. The remaining 102 companies are expected to start work before the end of the year.

In his interaction with the proponents of the project, the president expressed his satisfaction with the progress of the works on the project site, especially since the local raw materials will be used to produce sustainable products, in particular bricks, pavers, tiles and panels. for the construction industry.

President Akufo-Addo added that the large Tanoso clay deposit, where the factory is located, places the company in a competitive position allowing it to contribute positively to the construction of housing affordable for Ghanaians.

He applauded the decision made by Rhovanni Royal Company Limited to install a photovoltaic group of one megawatt to make the plant completely independent of the national grid. In addition, the promoters intend to propose the use of their ovens at a minimal cost to the local potters of the Tanoso community and also train them in the best practices to avoid the degradation of the environment.

Job opportunities are expected to be offered to residents of Tanoso and surrounding communities, especially young people, with a direct employment of 1,800 people and the creation of some 8,000 indirect jobs.

Once completed, the plant is also expected to significantly reduce clinker imports into Ghana, which amounted to approximately $ 700 million.

During the day, President Akufo-Addo also went to Yamfo, Duayaw Nkwanta and Kenyasi, while he was ending his two-day tour in the Ahafo region.

In Bechem, President Akufo-Addo said that the construction of Bechem Town Roads had been taken into account in the projects of phase 1 of the Ghana-Sinohydro government agreement, worth 2 billion dollars.

Techimantia's road to Derma, he added, has been included in the Phase 2 projects of the Sinohydro Agreement, and once Parliament approves, the construction of this road will begin.
