The regional president of the New Patriotic Party (NPP) of Ashanti described President Akufo-Addo as "a combination of Ronaldo and Messi".
Bernard Antwi-Boasiako was laudatory after Akufo-Addo was voted Africa's best president.
According to him, the Ghanaian leader never sleeps at work and is always thirsty for success.

He then told the president's achievements to those of world football stars, Cristiano Ronaldo and Lionel Messi.
"For the whole world to know about President Akufo-Addo, it's like a combination of Messi and Ronaldo,He told Peacefmonline.
"He never sleeps at work and always thirsts for success. He wants the best for Ghana and Africa in general.
"To be considered the best of Africa is a remarkable achievement and I want to thank God for helping him achieve this feat."
President Akufo-Addo has recently been named Africa's Best President by a Canadian-based research organization called "The Leaders of Tomorrow".
Antwi-Boasiako, known as President Wontumi, was the least surprised by the president's high marks on the continent.

At the same time, a similar study was conducted by the American think tank World Vision Forum, which ranked President Akufo-Addo as the leading African country and third among the best visionary presidents.
