Edmund Kyei, a member of the BNP Communications team and First Vice President of the Asokwa constituency, prevented former President John Mahama from calling President Nana Akufo-Addo a big liar for cheating Ghanaians.
According to Edmund Kyei, John Mahama lost him in governance and he has no credibility nor courage to call Akufo-Addo a liar.
Edmund Kyei said in a press release issued in Accra.
Below the complete statement:
Her Excellency Nana Addo-Dankwa is an honest leader I know
Recently, ex-president Mahama made an unfortunate statement that "I will not lie to Ghanaians like Akufo Addo" when he met people in Techiman, in the Bono-East region. During his comments, he played his usual gimmicks and as far as credibility issues are concerned, I do not think former President Mahama is getting closer to our current president.
President Akufo Addo promised to cancel the nuisance taxes he delivered, he promised to cut electricity rates, he promised free education that he delivered. inflation and now inflation is a single figure. The list may lengthen over and over, Ghanaians have found how His Excellency is credible and will not fear the lies of the ex-president.
I would like to remind Ghanaians how former President Mahama, who was then running for vice president of the late President Mills, campaigned for ONE TIME PREMIUM FOR NHIS, but when he got the chance to govern, he acted as if he had forgotten his own promise.
In addition, his administration was swamped by corruption, like a deep fog, each cost of a project executed under his supervision being inflated by his representatives.
Our dear country, Ghana, is not ready to return to darkness. Ghanaians now enjoy uninterrupted power, as promised by Nana Addo. Ghanaians are not ready for the gadgets of the former president.
…. Signed …
Edmund Kyei
Member of NPP Communication and First Vice President of the Asokwa constituency.
