Alhbadan Suhuyini, MP for Tamale North
The MP for Tamale North Alhbadan Suhuyini hinted that President Nana Akufo-Addo would only seek to impress the Ghanaian people with an impressive speech during her speech on the state of the nation on Thursday.
While many look forward to a speech that will inspire confidence in all aspects of the economy, particularly security, which has become a priority issue, the MP said he was not expecting anything from the President.
"I'm tired of listening to our president. he speaks a lot, makes an impressive statement but does so little, "Suhuyini said Wednesday on TV3 New Day.
Mr. Suhuyini insisted that Nana Akufo-Addo had not shown sufficient commitment.
"I lost confidence in him," he repeated.
Although he thinks the president has all the necessary powers to deal with the political militia acts in the country, he said the president should start with his own party.
But Sekondi MP Andrew Kofi Egyapa Mercer, also speaking on television, noted that the President did not need Mr. Suhuyini's time to deliver an inspiring speech.
The hon. Member for Sekondi hoped that the president would present a detailed plan on how to deal with all issues of security concern, including political militia.
