The President must take a week off as part of his annual leave as of Thursday, July 11, 2019, according to a statement from the presidency.
Nana Addo Akufo-Addo Dankwa left the country on Saturday, July 6 to lead the Ghanaian delegation to the twelfth special session of the Assembly of the Union, to be held in Niamey, capital of the Republic of Niger.

The President will leave France on Thursday 11 July to take a one-week holiday as part of his annual leave.
He was accompanied by Foreign Affairs and Regional Integration Minister Shirley Ayorkor Botchwey, MP; Minister of Trade and Industry Alan Kwadwo Kyerematen; Yofi Grant, General Manager of the Ghana Investment Promotion Center; and officials from the Presidency and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
President Akufo-Addo will return to Ghana on July 18, 2019. In his absence, the Vice President, Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia, will act in his place in accordance with Article 60 (8) of the Constitution.
