President Akufo-Addo’s government has expressed its gratitude to Parliament for approving its 2021 budget statement and economic policy.
Information Minister Kojo Oppong Nkrumah expresses his gratitude on behalf of the government in the House in an address to the media on Sunday, March 21, 2021.
According to him, the policy seeks to organize a recovery of the coronavirus.
And an expansion of the Ghanaian economy
It seeks to reduce the debt deficit and get it back on track to sustainability over the next four years, he said.
He took the opportunity to clarify that the tax on the coronavirus (Covid19) is not for Ghanaians to pay for free water and electricity for 2020.
The Covid19 tax is not for free water and electricity, he stressed.
He reiterated that the report claiming that the Ministry of Finance had spent 1.7 billion Ghc was incorrect.
