President Akufo-Addo will begin today, Thursday, September 9, 2021, a two-day working visit to the Oti and Volta regions.
President Akufo-Addo is expected to interact with the chiefs and residents of the two regions, prepare the ground for projects and commission a few more.
He is also expected to comment on a recent protest in the Volta region by residents of South Ketu demanding the border reopened.
This is what the director of communications to the presidency, Eugene Arhin, informed.
Mr Arhin said he would inform the media of the details of the tour once the president is finished.
“God willing from Thursday, September 9, 2021, the president will complete his tour of the country. He will go to the Oti and Volta regions. So from Thursday he will undertake a two day working visit and we will inform you of the details of this particular tour.
President Akufo-Addo recently completed a four-day tour of the West, Northwest and Ahafo regions to commission and also cut land for construction of new projects.
