The prophet Emmanuel Badu Kobi, chief prophet of the chief pastor of Glorious Wave Church International, claimed that President Akufo-Addo had deliberately gone bankrupt to the gold distribution company Manzgold.

According to the popular prophet, the president deliberately used the Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) to bring down Menzgold.

In an interview granted by the prophet Badu Kobi, he criticized the president for what he described as mismanagement of the Menzgold saga.

Prophet Badu Kobi noted that prior to President Akufo-Addo's accession to power, Menzgold had been operating steadily for about five years.

He further explained that Menzgold correctly paid customers' returns on investment until they were sentenced to closure.

"If Menzgold broke a law, the authorities could have sat down with the management and pbaded laws to control Menzgold and not to collapse," he said.

The prophet Badu Kobi again criticized President Akufo-Addo, saying that he had intentionally collapsed a Ghanaian society.

He replied that Menzgold, as a Ghanaian company, should have received the support of the president.

The prophet Badu Kobi, who appears to be a controversial preacher, recalled how the president had paid tribute to Nana Appiah Mensah.

He questioned the fact that if NAM1 was not as believable as they perceived it, why did they honor it as the performer.

Badu Kobi asked if the government did not investigate NAM1 even before inviting him to the presidency months before their collapse.

This is not the first time that the prophet Emmanuel Badu Kobi attacks President Akufo-Addo in his comments.

He is known to blame President Akufo-Addo for what he described as mismanagement of the economy.

Recently, YEN.com.gh published an article about the prophet Badu Kobi after he said he wanted to spiritually withdraw the government led by Akufo-Addo.

He added that the government had dropped Ghanaians and was only enriching them.
