Minister-designate for Trade and Industry Alan Kyerematen is now expected to present the 2021 budget.
This is what Joy Business has learned from government sources.
This follows the inability of the Minister-designate, Ken Ofori Atta, to return to Ghana on time after his sick leave.
Even if Mr. Ofori-Atta had arrived in Ghana, it might have been difficult for him to overcome the obstacles necessary for the nominating committee to present the state of the budget.
Joy Business had learned earlier that President Akufo Addo was considering the presentation of Vice President Dr. Mahamadu Bawumia or Minister-designate of Commerce Alan Kyerematen.
But it now appears that the President has chosen Mr. Kyerematen to present the state of the budget, next Friday March 12, 2021.
